One of the first questions I hear from clients is: «how much will it cost?». The honest answer: it depends — but it can be calculated before you sign any contract. In this article I break down interior design prices in Łódź into their components, so you know exactly what you're paying for.
What determines the price of an interior design
The price of an interior design isn't a single number — it's the result of three variables: the apartment's floor area, the scope of work (whether you need just a functional layout or full contractor documentation) and the level of 3D visualizations. The more decisions you make at the design stage — instead of on the construction site — the more work the documentation requires, but the fewer surprises await you during the renovation.
Stefańska Design package prices (2026)
At Stefańska Design we work in three packages — each billed per m² of the apartment's floor area:
Packages and prices
- Basic — 110 zł/m² · ~3–4 weeks. Functional layout, moodboard, material selection and 3–4 3D visualizations per room. Without full technical documentation.
- Standard — 160 zł/m² · ~3–4 weeks. Everything in Basic + 5–7 higher-quality visualizations, wall elevations with dimensions, a full material specification, electrical and plumbing diagrams, and an execution cost estimate.
- Premium — 249 zł/m² · ~7–10 weeks + realization coordination. Everything in Standard + 8 high-resolution visualizations, AI-powered 3D animations, material selection, showroom visits and coordination of the execution.
Example: how much does a 50 m² apartment design cost?
The easiest way to understand the pricing is a concrete example. For a 50 m² apartment:
- Basic: 50 m² × 110 zł = 5,500 zł
- Standard: 50 m² × 160 zł = 8,000 zł
- Premium: 50 m² × 249 zł = 12,450 zł
The difference between Basic and Standard is above all the technical documentation — what your contractor gets in hand so they don't have to guess where the electrical or plumbing installations should go.
A good design isn't an extra cost — it's how you avoid overpaying during the renovation.
What else affects the final cost
Beyond the chosen package, the final price can be affected by:
- The number and complexity of rooms — a kitchen and bathroom require more work than a bedroom
- The number of changes and iterations during the design
- Travel outside Łódź — a site visit in another city
- The scope of realization coordination during execution (Premium only)
How to choose the right package
Basic makes sense if you already have a trusted contractor and mainly need a functional layout and visualizations to «see» the result. Standard is the choice for most people buying a new-build apartment — the documentation protects you against contractor errors. Premium I recommend if you're renovating remotely, investing in rentals at a larger scale, or want control over every stage without being on site yourself.

Frequently asked questions
How much does an interior design cost in Łódź in 2026?
Prices start at 110 zł/m² (Basic package), through 160 zł/m² (Standard), up to 249 zł/m² (Premium with realization coordination). The final cost depends on the floor area, the scope of technical documentation and the number of 3D visualizations.
Does the design price include 3D visualizations?
Yes — every package includes visualizations: Basic 3–4 views per room, Standard 5–7 higher-quality views, and Premium 8 high-resolution views along with an AI animation.
Is the design billed per m² or as a flat fee?
As standard we bill per square meter of the apartment's floor area — it's transparent and easy to estimate before the start. For non-standard projects (commercial, single rooms) we set the price individually.
Is a design worth it for a small apartment?
Yes. The smaller the floor area, the more important it is to use every centimeter. A good functional design usually pays for itself by avoiding costly mistakes and do-overs on site.
